Wall art that depicts rural life, vases bought from the local antique store, vintage wire shelving and a warm, earthen color palette emphasize the farmhouse-centric theme of the dining room. You can easily give this space a more modern aura by replacing some of the rustic features with modern cabinets, credenzas, rugs and drapes. It is all about finding out what works for you best!
The “new” trends featured in today’s post are more like new interpretations of classic motifs…which makes them timeless! After all, does tropical style really ever go out of style? And who can beat the breezy look of black and white when it’s given an earthy twist? Throw in some crisp blue and white, and you have a recipe for spring style that can last all the way through the summer.
Our dinner plates are a discontinued pattern from Crate & Barrel (learn more about the Claire pattern here). The teal appetizer plates come from CB2 and are a gloriously affordable $1.99 apiece! We love the idea of topping each plate with a special bite, such as round crackers covered in goat cheese and pink peppercorn. Our greenery was picked up at the local market, labeled “California filler” and sold for $3 a bunch!
An elegant dining room is created by thoughtfully chosen furniture that feels sleek and not over the top, in the combination with graceful decor elements that only enhance the idea of a delicate, elegant space. This dining room is radiating elegance and open space. The mirror and glass table really help with the feeling of openness and a vast beige rug is what connects all individual elements together.
The large live-edge wooden table is another striking addition that surely brings something special to the dining room while weathered and repurposed décor adds another layer of visual warmth to the exquisite dining space.
